January 12, 2009 – FORT WAYNE, IN. The Heartland Chamber Chorale begins 2009 with a two month multi-county touring program entitled Heartland Sings: Opera, Then and Now. These programs will feature guest artist, Carver Cossey, a former Hoosier native from East Chicago now living in Los Angles, where he regularly appears with the Pacific Chorale, Roger Wagner Chorale and the Los Angles Opera. Mr. Cossey and members of the Chorale will present a variety of opera, Gilbert & Sullivan, musical comedy, and Broadway favorites to schools, retirement homes, and auditoriums across several counties in northeast Indiana. These concerts are free and open to the public under the sponsorship of the Indiana Arts Commission 2009 Touring Program. Scheduled stops on the tour include: 1. South Whitley Elementary School (South Whitley) 2. DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home (Columbia City) 3. Woodcrest Retirement Community (Decatur) 4. Heritage Point Retirement Center (Warren) |
